Project Details

This apartment complex renovation was one of our most interesting projects to date! Built in 1832, this Morris Street building was originally a double residence purchased by Nova Scotia’s wealthiest business man, Enos Collins, for his daughters. Gus & Helen Mandros purchased the building in 1954, and it remained in their family until 2014. During this time, its doors were often open to new Greek immigrants upon their arrival in Halifax.

Builders Nicolas and Devon Bezanson, along with their design team, transformed this historic building into a 6-unit apartment complex while maintaining and restoring several of its original features, including brick fireplaces and walls. The Wadden Electric team completed all electrical aspects of this renovation project including lighting layout design, service upgrade, and re-wire.
